Témiscamingue, January 31, 2024 – The Témiscamingue International Raid is delighted to announce that all spots for the 2024 edition have been filled. High-caliber athletes will be present for this sporting competition, which is part of the prestigious Adventure Race World Series.
Organized by the Témiscamingue Development Corporation, the Témiscamingue Regional County Municipality, and by Endurance Aventure, this internationally acclaimed event, rooted in the spirit of adventure and competition, promises to provide a memorable experience for participants and spectators worldwide. Due to the enthusiasm and quality of the applications received, the organization has decided to increase the number of teams from 25 to 30 duos.
Elite teams from around the world
The selected teams represent a diverse range of skills and nationalities, showcasing the global scope of this renowned event. Athletes from Europe, South America, the United States, and across Canada have qualified to participate in this demanding competition that will test their abilities in trekking, mountain biking, canoeing, and many other disciplines.
Strong representation of local teams
Thanks to the excitement surrounding the Témiscamingue International Raid, local talents take center stage at the event. As in previous editions, about fifteen participants from Témiscamingue will serve as role models for the community and contribute to strengthening the social fabric of our beautiful region.
Reintroduction of the Youth Raid
The Témiscamingue International Raid is proud to announce the return of the Youth Raid, aimed at teenagers aged 13 to 17 years old. This aspect of the event aims to inspire the next generation of adventurers by emphasizing perseverance, self-improvement, a love for the outdoors, and for Témiscamingue. Promoting their commitment and encouraging them to adopt healthy and active lifestyles is one of the goals of the Youth Raid. Registrations for the Youth Raid will open on March 12, 2024, for 50 teams of young people from Témiscamingue.

About the Témiscamingue International Raid
The Témiscamingue International Raid is a spectacular race organized by the Société de développement du Témiscamingue, the MRC de Témiscamingue and Endurance Aventure in collaboration with around fiftyregional organizations. This endurance race is made up of a series of events combining trekking, swimming, mountain biking, canoeing and ropes sections. The third edition of the race will be held from September 5 to 8, 2024 where 30 teams from the region and around the world will compete on a 170 km course in the northern sector of Temiscamingue, between Remigny and St-Bruno-de-Guigues. A youth section covering around 20 km for about a hundred high school students will precede the international race.
The event is then broadcasted on sports channels, including RDS and TSN, all around the world (in 160 countries and translated into 16 languages). Thanks to our broadcasters, the show reaches over 1.4 billion people on TV and 1.7 billion online. The Témiscamingue International Raid thus provides exceptional promotion for Témiscamingue among adventure-nature tourists from all over the world!
